Learnings

Johns Hopkins University - Engineering Innovation Program

Attending the Explore Engineering Innovation Program at Johns Hopkins was transformative. I earned an A grade and 3 college credits while diving deep into hands-on engineering challenges.

My projects included:

  • Spaghetti Bridge – Scored 100% marks, supporting up to 3kg weight
  • Rat Trap – Mechanical design challenge
  • BreatheSync – Individual electronics project focused on digital detox and health
  • Memory Lapse – Group project simulating the Simon Game
  • Cut & Glide – Business proposal development
  • Lab experiments in chemical processes, buckling, bending, and tension analysis

The program taught me to blend theoretical knowledge with practical application, especially through the structural mechanics labs that later influenced my seismic research.

Ivy Early Entrepreneur Program

Working with Big Red Group, I proposed "TravelTech" - a business idea that earned our team recognition as one of the Top 3 Teams in the program. This experience taught me to combine technological innovation with business acumen and market understanding.

BSAI Opportunity Summit

Representing my school as Flag Bearer at the Boarding Schools Association of India summit was an honor. I participated in the hackathon where my team secured Runner-Up position, and our delegation won the Best Delegation award. This taught me to balance leadership representation with competitive innovation.

Young SDG Leaders Program – InnovaPolis

I developed a proposal on Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS), connecting engineering solutions with environmental sustainability. The program resulted in a Letter of Recommendation, validating my approach to addressing urban challenges through innovative infrastructure.

Ashoka University – Young Scholars Program

The Frontiers of Science program expanded my thinking beyond engineering into interdisciplinary approaches. It reinforced that breakthrough innovations often emerge at the intersection of different fields – a principle I now apply in all my research work.
